Post-fight interviews
Selected fighters from the opening bout, co-main and main event take the microphone. Results, title stakes and each fighter’s personality shape the conversation.

Keep your current fighters, rules, belt designs, applied event names and schedules together. Apply individual event edits before saving the complete draft. Saving setup does not begin the universe or lock your belt.
Choose a BoutVerse universe draft backup. It is checked before replacing your setup. You can undo a restore during this visit.
A complete draft includes active and hidden fighter divisions. Named preset libraries and fictional conversation caches are not included. Browser saves stay on this device and browser address; download a backup to keep a portable copy. This is setup only—no completed events exist yet.
STEP 1 · YOUR UNIVERSE
You decide who gets an offer after the event. A qualifying fighter is a candidate, not an automatic signing. You can offer fewer contracts or none. Signed fighters join the reserve queue for a ranked opening; an offer does not immediately give them a ranking.
A prospect fallback must respect the same cooldown and eligibility rules. A top-eight fighter cannot face a prospect while another viable ranked opponent is available. This is a new optional rule; it is not an existing workbook shortcut.
Rename event types whenever you want. These names follow your calendar and setup descriptions; each card can also have its own title. Previously completed event names will remain part of history.
STEP 2 · YOUR CHAMPIONSHIP
Choose one belt for all divisions. You can revise it during setup. When the universe begins with its first committed event, this design becomes permanent.
This prototype has not begun a live universe. The permanent lock will be enforced by event progression; saving your design here does not start the universe.
STEP 3 · CREATE YOUR FIGHTERS
Build legends, rivals and unexpected contenders. Be creative with names and personalities—then choose shared starting values or let chance shape your roster.
Each weight class has 12 fictional sample fighters. Choose a class below to edit its roster and view its belt. Set each fighter’s personality in the roster table below. Choose whether starting-value and personality controls apply to all active classes or the selected class. Retirement rules apply universe-wide; individual row edits affect only that fighter. These settings do not change your workbook.
Class names are editable examples; weight limits are not configured yet. Reducing the class count hides the last classes without deleting their preview edits.
Every class competes for this shared championship design. Each division still has its own champion and title history; no champion is assigned in this preview.
Use the Personality dropdown in each roster row. This defines how that fighter speaks in post-fight interviews and how the promoter discusses them. It does not change fighting ability or results. Choices save in this browser and are included in your setup download.
There are 12 working choices below. The six additions are provisional labels while the earlier complete list is being reconciled. Automatic personality evolution and the full fighter creator are still to come.
| Fighter | Age | Popularity | Longevity | Personality | Retirement preview |
|---|
Download starting setup saves your current fighter values and retirement settings as a JSON settings file. It is not a full universe save. This smaller starting-setup download cannot be imported. Use Download draft backup in Save / Restore for a complete, restorable backup. Saved presets below can be loaded in this browser.
Starting longevity is the exact number you choose. A 40-year-old assigned 100 starts at 100; future age penalties count only aging after that starting point. Initial setup will lock when the first event commits. Later rule changes apply prospectively.
STEP 4 · BEYOND THE FINAL BELL
After a Primetime Event, hear from your fighters and face the press with your promoter.
Selected fighters from the opening bout, co-main and main event take the microphone. Results, title stakes and each fighter’s personality shape the conversation.
Your promoter answers reporters’ questions at the post-fight press conference, reflects on the fighters and looks ahead to the next scheduled event.
Conversations belong to completed Primetime Events. Standard Events and Wednesday developmental cards do not include interviews or press conferences.
This planning prototype does not complete events yet. Conversations will become available inside your universe when event progression is connected. There are no sample conversations to reveal here.
Set up the people behind the microphone without revealing any conversations. Fighter personalities are edited in the roster above.
Make changes here on this page. Select a dated event below or use Edit on its calendar card.
Each event series has its own chosen starting number and numbering style. Custom event names stay unchanged. This preview uses your selected starting number or random range. Continuous numbering across years comes with universe archives.
Choose a dated card—including any December card—to set its name, type and fight count.
Your chosen Saturday in each month is reserved for a Primetime Event. The remainder are Standard Events. Setting a total reserves your 12 monthly Primetime cards and adds any extra Primetime cards; use the event editor to change specific cards.
Give a particular card more or fewer fights. The annual bout target stays fixed; remaining cards and draft dates are recalculated. Changes apply to this preview and calendar download, and reset when you reload.
STEP 6 · PROSPECT FIGHTS
Your prospect showcase is the developmental route into the main promotion. Plan your prospect cards by weight class on Wednesdays. Its fight total is separate from the Saturday promotion and does not change your main annual target.
Each active class gets at least one card. Choose more cards or fights for an individual class. Each bout needs two different prospects on that card. These counts reserve roster places; individual prospect records and cooldown feasibility are the next engine step.
Edit the fights field on any dated prospect card to customize that card alone. There is no special finale. After every prospect card, review performances and choose eligible contract recipients. The gap to the next weight class starts after this class’s last card.
AFTER EVERY PROSPECT EVENT
Contract offers: review the completed card, choose recipients within your per-event limit, then confirm your decisions with the event results. Nobody is signed just because the system recommends them.
Reserve queue: signed fighters wait for a ranked place in their weight class. They become eligible from the next event and must still finish their cooldown. A retirement or another vacancy can open a place. Receiving a contract does not remove an existing ranked fighter.
Minimum-fights route: the number you choose in Step 1 decides who can be considered. Completing enough bouts makes a prospect eligible for review; you still choose whether to offer a contract.
KOTN, SOTN and FOTN can inform your decision. The earlier engine’s automatic KOTN/SOTN contracts are a legacy policy, not a requirement for your player-selected route. Prospect cooldowns, reserve ordering and the final commit still need engine integration.
Change your prospect pathway in Step 1STEP 7 · PROMOTION RULES
Start with your bottom-two finale rule or the workbook’s reserve-contract pathway, then make it your own.
This saves developmental rule choices in this browser, not a complete universe. Scheduling controls remain a separate draft. The results engine is not connected yet. Future changes apply only to uncommitted events; complete-event validation and Move to Next Event will be the sole point that moves fighters and locks history.
STEP 8 · CREATE YOUR FIGHT CARDS
Choose a main-promotion event, pair fighters within a weight class, and decide how each bout will be played. You can save an unfinished card and return to it.
These cards use the actual setup roster: 12 fighters per active class. The calendar’s planned roster count does not create additional fighters. Developmental prospect rosters and booking come separately. A fighter can appear only once on a card; retirement availability is checked. Recovery between events, rankings, title eligibility and results are not connected yet.
Player-controlled and CPU vs CPU record your choice for the external game. They do not run a simulation here. Saving or checking a card does not start the universe, lock your belt, reveal interviews or commit results.
THE NEXT BUILD
Review every result, then use Move to Next Event to update the universe together. Completed events become permanent. Undo applies only to drafts.
Choose one championship design for your entire universe. Save once to apply it to all weight classes.
More than a prize: this is what every contender is chasing. Create a belt worthy of the rivalries, breakthroughs and champions your promotion will remember.
THE TITLE THEY FIGHT FOR
Every fighter wants to earn this belt. One design represents the championship standard across every weight class.
Review your setup before entering the event screen. Only the current event will be editable once the promotion begins. Matchmaking, results and permanent history belong there.
This opens a confirmation screen, then your promotion dashboard. You can explore your saved fighters, calendar and belt now. Live matchmaking and event progression remain unavailable until the audited engine is connected.
